An Update and Giveaways

Hooray for Friday's! I am especially excited about this weekend as we are going away - a birthday trip for me - to a resort in the mountains. We have never been before, but friends tell us it is just lovely! I admit that I am just as excited about exploring the cute little towns near by and the prospect of finding some great stuff at their antique/thrift stores.

Confession time… Upon completion of a recent blog entry, I realized that Sept 1 is just around the corner and felt pressured to continue working on Lizzie Kate’s Boo. As much as I love my friends and family and can’t wait to send them this piece, I really, really want to work on “my projects” – I know that sounds so selfish but I just can’t help it. I have two or three WIP that I am just itching to stitch on and have several others that I can’t wait to start. I only have 4 blocks on Boo to complete – and of course, the dreaded border!

By the way, Jolene is having a give away - check out her blog! Also, Paulette is having a giveaway on Sunday - yep, you have to wait until Sunday to enter the drawing!

Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Cari! I am so happy you visited my blog! I am a fellow Virginian now living in Michigan. My son is in VA right now with my parents in Colonial Heights. Do you know it? I got my business degree from VCU many years ago! I love VA and we got back as often as we can to visit my folks.

I have just had the best time looking thru your blog! Your house is so gorgeous - I'm green with envy! I have added you to my blog list so that I can keep up with you!

Hi Cari, Thanks for entering my giveaway for Live Laugh Love. I have really enjoyed reading every single post displayed on your blog. I am so glad our paths crossed. You share so many of the same styles and interests as I do. I love the picture of your staircase and fireplace. I'm jealous you are the lucky owner of an 1800's home. My sister has a GORGEOUS vitorian home that was built in the late 1800's and it is to die for. I love thrift stores and antiques, and the thrill of the hunt...you're a girl after my own heart. Happy Birthday! Best of luck to you on winning my giveaway. I have added you to my list of blogs I love to peruse. Hope you find a "treasure" on your getaway this weekend. I plan to visit yor blog often. Kindly...Jolene

Hi Cari,
I love your Halloween piece, and I know exactly what you mean about wanting to work on your own pieces. I don't think it's selfish at all, and I think a lot of us feel the same way.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Can you believe there wasn't one yard sale to go to on Saturday? Hopefully next weekend will make up for it!
