Giving Thanks

for a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with family. My nieces ~ Abby & Ana

As I type this, I have been asking myself why I have no pictures of my very handsome nephew or of my brother - but they were there as well. We ate lots of good food and played lots of games - Sequence, Canasta, and I leaned how to play Nertz, which is a great game!
Below is my progress on "Be Ye To Others". Ignore the strings to the side. When I work with a pattern that is done in pages, I tend to finish a page before moving to the next and instead of ending the thread, I just pull it to the side - what do you guys do?
Be Ye To Others
Hillside Samplings
40ct Norden Cream
Mix of Silk & DMC
The best for last...
Melissa of Words and Blooms graciously honored me with this award ~ my very first and it couldn't have come from a more delightful lady ~ thank you Melissa!

Don't forget to check out my updated Trade Blog and Mary Kay Sale.
Happy Stitching.

Love the pictures of your hubbie and nieces -- and you! It always ends up that we don't have pictures of everyone, doesn't it? Your WIP is gorgeous -- I love the colors!

What a cute family you are! I love Be Ye, and in fact, so much that I might have to go hunting for it...

Great pictures, Cari! I'm so glad that you had a great Thanksgiving. :)

I love your progress on your sampler. It's a beauty. For me, I tend to end the threads, only because I never thought of pulling them to the side like you did. I learn something new every day--great idea!

Great pictures of your family and nice to see a picture of you too! Love your progress on your sampler. Beautiful colors and stitches. I like the way that you've ended your threads. I've always cut mine off, but I think I like your idea much, much better.

Loved the snaps you shared of your husband and nieces. It looks like you all were having a blast.

You've made great progress on your sampler... it looks marvelous.

I usually finish a thread, even if it means stitching a bit on the next page. I dislike stitching with dangling threads.

Your sampler is beautiful! Great idea to move your threads to the side like that!!

I'm always impressed by people who can do pieces one page at a time. I'm way too OCD to do that. If there's a line that goes from one end of the sampler to the other I have to stitch the whole thing in one go. Or else. Confetti stitching drives me bonkers.

Well anyway, the sampler is lovely, and so is your family, good work on both!
