Living in a Snowglobe

Yep, it snowed again - I feel like I am living in a snow globe and someone keeps shaking the darn thing. I know you northerners (I say that affectionately as I am one by birth) are tired of us southerners whining about all this snow but it really has been an unusual winter. Well, I made it through last week, finished all my homework by Saturday, and I spent a relaxing Sunday at home.  In honor of Valentine's Day, I had a chick flick marathon - "Did You Hear What Happened to the Morgans?", "Leap Year", and then I went to see the new Travolta movie "To Paris, With Love". It was a fun and relaxing day - which is exactly what I needed.
I ordered this in December and it just arrived - it was the Kit-of the-Month at Shakespeare's Peddler and I just love the fabric that came with it. Aren't the scissors wonderful! They were an unexpected surprise from Deb - I was so delighted to receive them and I love them - thanks again Deb!
Lastly, this is my paltry progress on The Yellow House - if you want to see the whole thing all stitched, stop by and see Deb's amazing finish. I have been switching between this piece and Liz when I can steal a few moments.

Oh the weather this winter has been extreme to say the least, and so "opposite" that what it should be. We are experiencing the warmest winter since 1896 or something! Nutty.

Glad you had a lovely Valentine's Day.

Your Yellow House Sampler is off to a great start! I know it will be fabulous!

Love it all! I hadn't seen that SP; I only recently discovered her with Jenny Bean's Christmas sampler, which I ordered back in December, and have had since then. Still waiting on my linen from another source...any day now!

What Beautiful Scissors! I can't wear red, but there are a few shades that really push all the right buttons, and that's one of them. ;)

Beautiful stitching!

The Yellow House is looking so great. And you've got some nice new stash from Shakespeare's Peddler. Their kit of the month program is very enabling, isn't it? Lol.

Hey Cari! Congrats on winning the BBD giveaway--I'm assuming that Cari in VA is you, unless there are two Caris in VA. ;) Anyhoo, great now pic! Your Valentine's Day sounds like it was fantastic. I haven't been to see a movie with DH in eons. I took my twins to see The Wolfman last night. It was good but not amazing. They liked it, so that was good. Leap Year, btw, was filmed in the next county over from us--about an hour away. I hear the accents are a joke (so sayeth Irish news people) but I'm sure the scenery is wonderful. Love the stitching! Great stash enhancement, too. :)

Glad to hear that you had a lovely Valentine's Day. Looking forward to seeing more of your Yellow House.
Woohoo for you, so glad to see that you won the BB goodies!
