A Finish and Introducing Ms. Savilles

Be Ye To Others is complete! I just love this piece and all the specialty stitches really made this a joy to stitch. If you decided to stitch this, take note that there are a couple of discrepancies between the colors in the picture and the colors charted.

Be Ye To Others
Hillside Samplings
Norway Cream & mixture of DMC & Silk

I struggled with what to start next and made a few false starts before choosing Elizabeth Savilles – this is another lovely sampler. It calls for OWS threads and they are wonderful to stitch with. I am missing one color which Theresa graciously mailed to me this week (thanks T) – I am hoping it will arrive Monday.

Elizabeth Savilles
Finger Work
Vintage Light Examplar
Recommended Threads

The leg brace and I are still one – I return to the doc on Wednesday and am praying that the x-rays will show that my knee has healed and I can begin physical therapy and become more mobile. Let me tell you, five weeks of sitting on my tush is a long time, which can clearly be seen by it’s expansion!

Three of my classes begin on Monday and then additional classes will begin the following Monday – it is going to be a busy semester for me. But, it will all be worth it when I receive my diploma in May.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is full of stitching.

Wow, Cari, "Be Ye to Others" is so pretty! Congratulations! I think you stitched that up pretty quickly too didn't you?

As to Elizabeth Savilles yours is looking great. I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I love the design and is little bit further along than you but I've given up on it! I will stitch it again but with different threads, so starting over...someday! You're doing really well though!

Good luck with your classes and your knee! Let me know what you think of Abundance -- I've been wondering whether to read/listen to that one.

Be Ye To Others is gorgeous! Congrats on your finish. I love your E. Savilles start too! I started that one last year... but it ended up in my WIP closet. It will be freed and completed some day.

Cari - I am absolutely speechless with your finish. It is beyond beautiful, beyond amazing. I can not believe how much you got done during your time off. And I so love it now that I've seen this stitched. I love all the speciality stitches in it! What an absolute beauty!!! I am going to have to stitch this. I love, love this!

And Lizzy - what can I say. She is a beautiful sampler - I just love the colors in this piece!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you can get your brace off and you can get back to some good mobility!!!

Again, such a beautiful, beautiful finish!!

You're making better progress on Elizabeth than I am. I'm going to have to pull her out - you're motivating me, for sure.
I hope you get a good report from the doc and that you're up and running, soon.
Good luck with your classes - it sounds like you've got a heavy load.

What a beautiful finish, Cari! I love the gentle colors, and the way the little Adam & Eve are tucked away on the side instead of the center of the design.

Hope your doc appointment went well, and best of luck on your classes!
